Steve Gullick

About

James Trevascus is a Bristol based mixing and mastering engineer.

​

His recent mixing work includes the score for 28 Years Later by Young Fathers, Billy Nomates, RVG's Brainworms (Australian Music Prize Winner), My Mercury, Floodlights, and lots more. 

Other score mixing projects include Straight Circle by Maxwell Sterling, and a number of score projects by Ben Salisbury, Geoff Barrow & Suvi-Eeva Äikäs.

Mastering credits include Little Simz, Portishead, The Mary Wallopers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Young Fathers, Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury, Beak>, Keaton Henson, Dirty Three, Ben Frost, Mom Jeans, Just Friends, Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, Hannah Peel, PJ Harvey, Oliver Coates, Clint Mansell and many more.

Occasionally still engineering, he has recorded with many artists such as IDLES, Billy Nomates, RVG, Mitch Sanders, Slate & Ash and John Donaldson, including various film and TV score projects by Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury with lots of orchestral recording. He has worked at many studios including Real World, Invada Studios, Snap Studios, The Pool, Paco Loco etc.

 

Starting life as an assistant engineer at The Panda Studios in California, he soon began engineering at Invada Studios in Bristol, and now works freelance at his studio in Bristol.

Various clients include Universal, EMI, A24, Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Apple TV, Island Records, Sony Invada Records, PIAS, Colourbox Music, Sky, Lakeshore Records.
